Sick of Stupid.

Warning: I'm not in a good mood, so if you are opposed to bitter sarcasm you might want to cease reading now.

T.S. Elliot said "We might remind ourselves that criticism is as inevitable as breathing, and that we should be none the worse for articulating what passes in our minds when we read a book and feel an emotion about it, for criticizing our own minds in their work of criticism. ". If you know me you'll know that I'm a big fan of criticism. I think the word Mock might be my favorite in the entire English language. If you do something stupid, you'd better believe that I will hold it against you, and use it to incite laughter amongst my peers. I’m about to criticize a little (a lot).

My bad mood has been exacerbated by the multitude of completely noxious people that seem to crop up pretty often lately. Stupid people are everywhere; I’m starting to believe that it’s going to rub off.

My tribute to the annoying people I’ve had to deal with lately:

I wouldn’t be me if I didn't completely hate one of my roommates. These days it's Amber. Oh yes, Amber. First of all is it some kind of general rule that I have an Asian roommate every time? Korean, Taiwanese, and Chinese I've seriously had them all. Let me tell you, they are the messiest roommates EVER. Maybe it’s coincidental, and maybe not; but the ones I’ve had are completely incapable of cleaning. Everybody knows that I like my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom the way I like my fingernails: Immaculate. Something I’m sure was inherited from my father, and is probably a little obsessive, although not completely unreasonable. Whatever, part of living with other people is to learn to get along and to try not to tick them off too often. She’s the only roommate that has ticked me off enough for me to actually speak with. For the first time ever I told someone to keep their hands off my stuff. I did it in a more diplomatic way, of course.

Next I thought I would tell you the story about how I quit swearing. Not that it's an interesting story, but I like it. There is a person that I know, let's call them Riley (a nice gender ambiguous name), who is absolutely grotesque. I flatter myself in thinking that I never sounded as vulgar and crass as this person is, but if forced to face reality I was just as coarse. Anyway, I started cursing in high school. I had never really been exposed to profanity at home, so I just never swore. And one of my friends would continually badger me about it. One day I gave in and profaned just so she would stop taunting me. The teasing then proceeded to take a different direction because of course it sounded so unnatural and innocent coming from me. Feeling the need to prove myself, I slowly began to work it into my daily vocabulary. Certain words I didn't even know about until college (okay, just one)! Surprisingly I ended up with quite the unattractive mouth myself, and it came pretty naturally by that time. THANK GOODNESS for Riley, who taught me that swearing like I was only for gold-digging tramps with a lousy vocabulary and only hope of getting a spouse was by having innumerable plastic surgery procedures. Harsh you say? Probably, but really, are you surprised? My feelings for her are probably just inflated today, because this person is particularly Riley-esque, but I’m fairly certain I can’t stand her 24/7. Riley in all of his/her vulgarity inspired me to abstain from profanity from then on.

(I totally gave it away- but I don’t think you get the depth of my loathing for her without it.)

Anyway, I’ve got plenty more ammunition, but this post is really long so maybe I’ll make it a two parter!

TIM ONLY CAUGHT 15 MINUTES OF FELICITY ONE TIME. I JUST HAD TO MERCILESSLY MOCK HIM FOR KNOWING WHAT IT WAS AT ALL.

Tagging No More.

Okay everyone- I'm calling this my goodbye tag. I'm so sick of tagging. It just isn't interesting. So this is my last tag, unless somebody comes up with one that is totally clever! Peace out!

Four jobs I have had:
1. Receptionist at Access Title
2. Manager at Standard Optical
3. Optician at Timpanogos Vision Center
4. Robinson Construction- I'm not exactly sure what my job title is...Tim?

Four movies I have watched more than once:
1. The Departed
2. Waitress
3. Labyrinth
4. Donnie Darko

Four places I have lived:
1. Provo, Utah
2. Rexburg, ID (resounding yuck!)
3. Provo, UT
4. Yeah, I think I need to move.

Four TV shows I watch (I don't watch any current ones!):
1. Freaks and Geeks (best. show. ever.).
2. My So-Called Life
3. Arrested Development
4. Felicity

Four places I have been:
1. Bermuda
2. Cozumel, Mexico
3. New York, New York
4. Jamaica

Four people who email regularly (I NEVER email, but when I do it's to these 4):
1. Mom
2. Myself- I like to remind myself of things
3. Melissa
4. My Aunt Jean!

Four of my favorite foods:
1. Baked potatoes with sour cream
2. Chicken Cordon Bleu
3. Kung Pao Chicken
4. Gnocchi Pasta

Four places I would like to visit:
1. Greece
2. Prague, Czech Republic
3. Croatia
4. London, England

Four things I am looking forward to in the coming year:
1. Lake Powell- I haven't been able to go in about 3 years.
2. Moving out of my apartment and away from my stupid roommate Amber.
3. Jared's birthday- he gets so excited that you can't help but be excited too!
4. Corn on the cob.

My Boss!

I am pretty sure that I have the world’s strangest boss. Don't get me wrong, Eric Robinson is great, but oh, so eccentric.

Just a few things that make Eric, Eric:

Employees at Robinson Construction have to back into parking stalls, because while backing out Eric almost nailed some car driving through. I should probably mention that he was on his cell phone and gets monthly letters from The Utah Safety Council that threaten to take away his license. So now I have to back my car in every morning-I even signed a contract stating that I will reverse to park! I might add that I have not even had a ticket in the past two years (knock on wood). The only person who doesn't back in: Eric (and his kids who work here also).

The other day Tim came into work to find the front door unlocked and police in the basement looking for an intruder. Eric had come in early that morning and left for Wyoming without turning off the alarm. In case you were wondering our alarm sounds like a million dying cats- he had to notice. I suppose that he thought that it would sort itself out. Tim is now in charge of finding a simpler key pad. Maybe an off/on switch?

One morning Eric was just fed up, he couldn't log on to his computer (which I guess is a regular occurrence). He was so mad and ranting about how he can never get on his dang computer, so we got the IT guy down here and he couldn't log on either. Finally we called Eric's son and asked him what the password was. Not even close to the password Eric thought it was.

Eric is forever picking things off the floor- even when there is nothing there. He will seriously walk down the hallway picking up things the vacuum missed. It's extra special when it's just the light coming through the blinds-cause he'll keep chipping away until he's successful.

I always thought my father had the world’s most overactive nose. Not so, Eric will walk up and down the office spraying that nasty glade cinnamon apple spray. So strong it makes your eye's water and your nose sting. I can't tell you how ecstatic I was when we finally ousted the fish tank!

He also wants me to check the voicemail messages every 15 minutes, no joke, every 15 minutes. Is that really necessary (especially when no calls are missed)?

When Eric is out on a job site he will call about 30 times a day. Seriously, the man is incapable of delegating. He'll ask you the same thing repeatedly.

He has a major thing for fake trees; you know the faux ficus ones? There are 3 in the reception area alone. It's a bit much.

The aforementioned computer incident is just the tip of the ice burg. Eric is incapable of understanding how anything digital works. Sometimes I'll suggest something that will make a project easier and he will shut it down just because he doesn't think technology is capable of it. It's actually pretty comical.

Ps. I didn't have a picture of Eric, so I just used one from a job site! I'll try to find one!

Found!

Found these at Target yesterday! Best chocolate ever! I haven't seen any past the state of New York so I'm probably over excited that they are finally in Utah!

Ps. Kunsperflake is german for Cornflake.

List of Loves: Summer Edition

1. Love pink grapefruit-there is nothing more refreshing than a cold grapefruit in the morning! You can also have a Cranberry grapefruit sobe if you're thirsty or grab some grapefruit gelato for a summer treat!

2. Gladiator Sandals- I just might have to pick these Michael Kors up, they were really great on and so comfortable!

3. Summer Blockbusters! I know most of them aren't worth the hype (Spiderman 3, anyone?), but there is still something fantastic about them.
4. Along those same lines summer also brings some really great music. I do believe Coldplay's new album dropped today!

5. Vacay! All those fun trips you were planning all winter come into effect!
6. Bake sales- I kinda wish I could still have one. My sister M and I used to make bank on those things, and not to brag but we can really bake! Maybe M and I should get together and have one for old time sake-now that we're older and can make rad stuff we can still do well. Whaddya think M?
7. I don't think I can reiterate enough- SPRINKLERS! I used to love some me crazy daisy and slip 'n slide (granted, mine were never that cool, ours was more of a tarpaulin with water on it).

8. A lot of students leave. What? They can't drive! Local residents can take back south Provo- if we wanted to anyway... we'd like the option at least.
9. Lawn mowing for some reason I really like the sound of people mowing their lawns. You have to admit it's a summery sound!
10. Water sports- for those of us who wait all year round to finally go to Lake Powell (or commonly known as Heaven on Earth) for fun tan time!

Ps. See the guy flying through the air in that last one? That's why they discontinued those tubes!

Yet Another...

if you were a... tag: which I stole from Lyn and my mother!

if you were an animal, which would you be...
Elephant, they are so radically bomb. I'm not fond of many, maybe a tiger, the original cool cat.

if you were a city. which would you be...
Blast, this is hard, I'm torn between about 10 different cities. I'll say London, diverse and British, it doesn't get much better.

if you were a flower. which would you be...
The orange blossom, it reminds me of Bermuda and India.

if you were a vegetable. which would you be...
Cauliflower- oh, sooo delicious.

if you were a color. which would you be...
Because black is not a color- I'm going to have to say Navy Blue. Totes (new slang for totally if you didn't know cause you aren't cool like me) in and always a classic.

if you were a fruit. which would you be...
peach- evaporated milk and sugar make it especially bomb diggity.

if you were a season. which would you be...
I think I've established this in other blog entries- Autumn.

if you were a shoe. which would you be...
This is tough- obviously a heel of the stiletto variety. I seem to be fond of anything bright, patent, and BCBG. Of course I also love my N.Y.L.A. white flats...tough call.

if you were a vehicle. which would you be...
Mercedes G Wagon- Amg, of course. You either love it or you hate it. But everyone knows what it can do! Or a Range Rover but they depreciate too quickly.

if you were an appliance. which would you be...
lately I've turned into a complete neat freak, the kind that cleans the kitchen and bathroom daily, so maybe a dishwasher.

if you were a Disney character. which would you be...
Screw Disney, I'd be Anastasia from Twentieth Century Fox, for 2 reasons:
A. Russian Princess
B. Dimitri.

if you were a dessert. which would you be...
I would be a lemon creme from Mrs. Cavanaughs. Delish.

if you were a time of day. which would you be...
I really love twilight-everything just seems suspended, not to mention killer sunsets!

if you were a cereal. which would you be...
I'm a huge fan of frosted flakes, there Grrrreat!

if you were an instrument. which would you be...
Penny whistle- totes awesome. Can you tell that I'm completely hyper whilst writing this. I'm not usually a believer in abbreviating words.

Sorry Jen!

Sometimes I Have an Absurd Fear of Spiders!
Okay, so Friday night my good friend Jen G. and I had a sleep over (mostly because she was worried about me because Natalie left earlier that day). After our evening of debauchery and decadence,joking- we ate lots of gross food and watched El Orfanato and part of the Bob Dylan movie I'm Not There, we finally decided to go to sleep.
Poor Jen, who has a hard time sleeping anyway, was rudely awakened by me screaming: Jen! Jen! Because I thought we were currently being swarmed by hundreds of foul, filthy spiders. Not only did I probably wake Jen in a manner that I can only assume would arouse feelings of terror, but I then made her get out of bed while I flipped on the lights...I failed to mention that it was 4 in the morning! Sad and remnant of a 6 year old. Apparently I suffer from night terrors at the age of 22! Interestingly enough Night terrors are brought on by copious amounts of stress combined with sleep deprivation! I've suffered from both as of late, hopefully now I can return to normal!

I was going to post a picture of spiders but honestly they were freaking me out!

Como Se Dice: Mess!

I really need more bookshelves! Considering I have boxes and boxes of books and no place to put them. Only the my absolute favorites made the cut. Drat! I hate apartments, no place for anything! Maybe I should get rid of the pretty things that are there for pretty sake!

I really love Peonies and my parents finally came into bloom, so of course I had to snip a few off the bush. I didn't take pictures until they were fully bloomed they are much more beautiful when they are still budded.

What Exactly is Change to Sen. Barack Hussein Obama?

Before you all decide that Barack Hussein Obama is the candidate for you, I thought you should all take a look at his voting record. Sure the guy can speak and is definitely not as evil as a Clinton, BUT do you really want a president who can't make a decision on the important bills that come his way?

For a candidate so fixated on change Obama certainly seems to be just fine with the status quo.

Click here to see Obama's full voting record.

87 Nay's
234 Yea's
182 NV (Present, Not Voting)

321 votes cast to 182 NV doesn't show much conviction, not very comforting in a politician!

In the past 4 years he refrained from voting on 3 of 4 major abortion bills.
This year alone he did not vote on any of the 4 housing and property bills.
For Budget, Spending, and Tax bills in the past 4 years has voted 26 yea's, 12 nay's, and 37 NV.
In the past 4 years voted NV to half of the Foreign Aid and Policy Bills.
Voted Nay on the Same Sex Marriage Resolution.

I forgot to mention that Obama supports a National Fingerprint Registration. I'm totally against that, you know, in case I ever commit a crime.

Little Nat is Gone!

Some of our goodbye pictures (next time I'll wear make-up and do my hair)!

I'm not really sure what on earth we were doing! I really need to sign up for one of those classes on photography!

Tardy.

I know I'm a bit behind in the posting- right now I'm spending as much time with my BFF before she moves to the big bad city of New York to live out her dancing and dating dreams! After Friday I'll be horribly and completely alone and back to blogging! I mostly wanted to apologize to my faithful readers (mom) for not blogging although most of you have been pretty absent yourselves (hint)!

I do have some upcoming posts, I'm just too busy to perfect them! Tata for now!

All Things in Moderation.

Too hot! It's only May and I feel like I'm baking every time I step outdoors! I'm totally looking forward to July. As kids we would all lounge around the stairs under the swamp cooler (pre-air conditioning days) and start our search for the most awesome sprinkler head to run through! I can never decide which season is the worst: Winter or Summer. I probably just hate the extremes (my position on politics as well). Why are the two seasons that suck the most the longest?

Granted there is a lot more you can do in the summer: lake trips, tennis, camping, and barbecuing. And maybe it's just me but it seems like louder music- I'm a fan. In Summer it's like planning committees went nuts! There is always something to play, see, or do. Come to think of it, summer pretty much rocks! I can get over burning my hands on my steering wheel.

In the winter all activities pertain to snow or ice. Personally, I dislike anything that makes me drive like an idiot, and does anybody really like being cold & wet? I think that is why so many holidays are packed into the winter months, it's that horrible(Once, I was clearing the snow off my car and slipped under it. Yes, I have nothing but the fondest memories of snow... ). Christmas makes the winter only slightly more bearable.

Yep, looks like winter is worse.

So Over.

Is it just me or is David Archuleta a squinty-eyed version Clay Aiken? As if the world needs another, one is plenty creepy. YUCK! Is anybody else completely thrilled that Cook killed Archuleta? For weeks and weeks I've heard nothing but Archuleta this and Archuleta that. It made me started rooting for the other kid, and I don't even watch the ridiculous show! Thank goodness it's all over! I couldn't stand another kvetching crooner.

(Clay Aiken was runner-up wasn’t he? Oh, blast. I am going to have to listen to him again.)

What I learned from my father.

Some of you know my father, and if you do you know that he is a financial genius. My dad is so good at what he does that a certain women’s group asked him to come and talk to them about dying. No joke, dying. Death probably seems like something you really can't plan for, trust me you can. He's got about 7 binders full of things relevant to dying. It's borderline obsessive compulsive, but at least he'll be good at it. Growing up we learned all about money. I'm sure he thinks he failed to impart that knowledge to me seeing as I'm in possession of a Nordstrom card, which to my father is cardinal sin #1. In spite of that, I was actually listening.

Money is something our generation takes deeply for granted. In the age of plastic it's easy to forget that we actually need the cash to back our purchases up. All of our lives we have been cautioned against incurring debt. It is easy to see why with all of the turmoil and crisis around us especially in the last year. The time has seriously come to get on it. The cost of food and fuel are rapidly rising, making it abundantly clear that now is the time to get out of debt. We live in uncertain times, and now is the time to prepare for even worse times ahead.

Movie Tag

Lyn tagged me so here goes...

1. the total number of movies i own:

about 200- I have waaaaaayyyyyyyy to many for only being 22. That's not even counting all the TV I have on DVD.

2. the last movie i bought:

I think it might have been Juno, Dan in Real Life, the Star Wars box set (original) & the Indiana Jones Box set. There are just certain movies you just have to own. Now if only I could find somebody to babysit them while I'm gone for a year and a half. Wink.

3. the last movie I saw:

Penelope- Natalie is obsessed with it! I've seen it three times now and it wasn't that good. Or maybe it was There Will Be Blood- I could watch Daniel Day-Lewis read the phonebook, he's that good.

At home- Funny Lady, not that funny. Doesn't even compare with funny girl.

4. a movie I'll never watch again:

I Know Who Killed Me- Worst movie I've EVER seen. Lindsey Lohan doesn't even die, but don't worry she does have a long lost twin sister (who also does not die)...no I'm not lying. All the red and blue (blue representing the normal lilo and red representing the wild lilo) imagery made me sick. It was literally everywhere (e.g. the above picture)!

5. five movies that mean something to me:

E.T.- I love that little alien, I can't make it through that movie without some excessive crying.

V for Vendetta- Natalie Portman is phenomenal, she honestly can do no wrong. A movie that gives us pride in freedom and makes Democracy seem like the most important thing in the world after seeing Great Britain a totalitarian society and the lengths people will go to to bring it down.

Closer- I don't really recommend this one to the faint of heart, it's a tad scandalous. The dialog and themes in this movie are so powerful. Every part counts.

Little Women/ Persuasion- What kind of girl would I be if I didn't mention these two?

The Departed- Ummmm, epic. The only movie I can stand Leonardo DiCaprio- does he make anyone else cringe?

There are probably some that I forgot- but I can never remember them when I have to.

i tag these people:

Natalie W., and Jen G.

Twilight Official Trailer

I thought I would post this for all you doubters- looks better than you thought it would be doesn't it?

OH BABY, OH BABY!

My current playlist:

1. I Will Possess Your Heart- Death Cab
2. Lover I Don't Have To Love- Bettie Serveert
3. Paper Planes- M.I.A.
4. I Hear the Bells- Mike Doughty
5. Superstar- Sonic Youth
6. Erase/Rewind- The Cardigans
7. Mercy- Duffy
8. Momentary Thing- Something Happens
9. Alone Again (Naturally)- Gilbert O'Sullivan
10. Mr. Brightside- (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix) The Killers

The new Death Cab for Cutie dropped today! It's fantastic! The only sad thing is how radio friendly they seem to be getting. They wouldn't be DCFC if they weren't unique!

I also picked up the Duffy album Rockferry. She sounded promising. Jazzy but still alternative.

Everybody pray for Myanmar (formerly Burma), it's a shame such a beautiful and culturally rich place has been so devastated by a cyclone.

Afterthought...

I forgot to post a picture about my latest hair chopping! This is me now! Not a great picture- I know. My hair is a mess and I'm not wearing any makeup- but you get the idea.

Disenchanted...

Disillusionment is a rare thing…a thing I felt I've achieved (yes, achieved) over the past few months. I'm saying thank you to the writer's strike-- you helped me quit prime time. I dropped Cable like a bad habit, because it was one.

Ratings are down enormously for TV and everyone is surprised. How can they be? I tell you how; we all went out and got lives. Forced to come up with other projects while our favorite shows took a hiatus, we temporarily forgot who was sleeping with whom. We lost interest in our favorite stories and characters the way children loose interest in fairy tales when they grow up. I think people are discovering life outside of network TV. Don't people want to know the happenings on Wisteria Lane or Seattle Grace Hospital? Not anymore. People found hobbies- in case you haven't heard reading is back in fashion.

With a major source for entertainment tapped, creativity resurfaced. It's odd to think that it left; that a group of fictional people could replace the spontaneity and individuality of a majority of the human race. The only thing to watch was the news. With all the horrible things going on in the world, and after all the Prozac being handed out people got smart. They got out. Deciding not to waste life, we switched the television off.

Now that my television viewing is at a minimum I have to wonder why we ever watched at all. The comfort of having more screwed up people than ourselves? Was it mindless escape from our topsy-turvy lives? Now it all seems to decadent to sit around and wonder what is going to happen next in the 45 minute segment (I won’t even start on the 15 minutes of mind-numbing commercials).

Am I occasionally interested? Sure, but it’s minimal. Grey’s Anatomy died on the table and the office is only 20 minutes to give up. American Idol is just a show I wish weren’t on the human race’s record, it’s embarrassing (I think I’ll include all reality television in the embarrassment genre). It’s like giving up smoking, only when you’ve quit do you realize how bad it smelled.

Stick a Fork in Her- She's Done!

Every primary Tim tells me he's going to bring a fork to work to stick in Hillary- she's done. She has to be out. But, Alas, she didn't do quite as badly as we'd hoped- although Obama only trailed by 2 percent in Indiana and took North Carolina in what can only be considered a landslide for the Democratic Party. It's time for Hillary to conceed her losses and do the honorable thing and take herself out of the race! Hillary, of course, being a Clinton has never understood the honorable thing to do for even a fraction of a second!

I love it when Hillary Clinton screws up! In this article she blames George W. Bush for a problem entirely created by her own party's decisions. I realize that an individual cannot remember everything approved and passed by congress, but she ought to recognize some of the problems some that have arisen from DNC's policies, especially when they originate under the Bill Clinton Administration. Ah, Hillary the very paradigm of hypocrasy.

In response, the Clinton campaign said that Bill Clinton's administration had gotten assurances at the time it approved the deal that production would remain inside the United States, and that the shift of jobs to China didn't occur until under the Bush administration.

“Hillary Clinton must have been hoping we Hoosiers have short memories,” Ed Dixon of Valparaiso said in a letter to a local newspaper after a recent Clinton visit. “Her husband was president at the time and allowed this to happen.”

“They would have us believe Bush was behind this sale,” added Fred Sliger of Valparaiso in another letter, “when in fact the Clinton administration rubber-stamped this along with the sale of numerous other high-tech secrets to the Chinese. …Let's get the facts straight.”

Soooooo Stupid.

So the only reason I'm posting this is because Amanda begged me to and made me promise. For the Record I think it's silly, but she had a really bad day yesterday!

I have an inexplicable love for David Bowie (yes, Mom, I know you think he's weird). Can't help it I love him- maybe it has something to do with the several hundred times I watched Labyrinth as a child, plus, the man invented Glam Rock.

James McAvoy- he can act. He was unrecognizable as Mr. Tumnus in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Then all the sudden he's a leading man in Atonement. His upcoming role as a training asassin in Wanted looks pretty intense too!

Scott Speedman- It's probably just the after affects of my angsty crush while watching Felicity. He made Underworld fun for girls too!

Harrison Ford- The guy rocks and I don't really care that he is three times my age! Plus, do you know anyone else that can crank out a blockbuster better than Indy himself?

Christian Bale- I've loved him since Empire of the Sun (which came out the year I was born) and every movie since. I pretty sure I have them all. Surprisingly, Batman was my least favorite.

Tag You're It!

I stole this from Jessie's blog. Since I haven't done a tag in a while I thought I would!

twenty years ago I...
1) was hating life because I was no longer an only child & all of the attention was not on moi!
2) was living in the dining room because the upstairs of our home wasn't finished.
3) was a complete pain.

ten years ago I...
1) wore only glasses.
2) was in love, love, love with Spencer Funk, and Steve Nash.
3) had a class that was actually called Wolfpack.

five years ago I...
1) was a Junior at Timpview and thought I was the shiz for making Acapella.
2) worked for my father at Access Title.
3) was applying to college.

three years ago I...
1) was imprisoned at BYU-Idaho.
2) met one of my best friends Kelsey.
3) joined the GOP, I have a card and everything.

one year ago I...
1) was legal to drink, not that this has any effect on my life whatsoever.
2) went camping for the first time ever.
3) started working at Robinson Construction.

so far this year I have...
1) filed my taxes.
2) finally decided what I'm going school for.
3) chopped all my hair off.

yesterday I...
1) hung out with Natalie.
2) had no available surface area on my desk.
3) basically did nothing.

in the next year I may...
1) graduate. I know overdue.
2) buy a new car.
3) move into my new fancy schmancy apartment!

I tag...

Natalie Wakefield, Melissa Neslen, and Alyssa Williams.

I'm Too Impulsive for My Own Good

So in 3, count them 3, short months my hair has gone from really, really long to ridiculously boy short! It's weird I have this nonsensical need to do something completely out of the ordinary and crazy, I guess chopping off my hair became my outlet. Now I'm done, and will grow it out again so people will stop freaking out (Mom, Melissa, & David)! Here's the pictorial history (although I don't have any of it medium long, because I absolutely hated it):

About 13 inches later...

Goodbye another 6 inches...

I have one more picture but you'll all have to wait until tomorrow or at least later tonight!

04.23.08

So obviously I'm strapped for topics, (did anyone see my lame post about earth day, I didn't even know it was until I had to Google something) any suggestions?

It's hard to be even more disappointed in the democrats than usual, but here I am. Hillary Clinton took Pennsylvania yesterday, does anybody hate that state besides myself? It really blows because I might have to pick a new favorite football team and kiss my Steelers and Eagles goodbye. The only two teams I even kinda follow. Oh, and goodbye to cream cheese too! At least she didn't win by a landslide, right?

Man, do I hate Hillary. She's pasted all over my beloved Drudge Report! I hope all of you conservatives read the drudge it's the only place to find legitimate news without any liberal propaganda; CNN and MSNBC are both a little too liberal for my taste not that I don't peruse them anyway!

Happy Earth Day

I'm no tree hugger but remember how much we love our planet! Even if she can't make up her mind about what season it is! You can check out the entire history of Earth Day here (no lie, you really can). Some of it is pretty interesting, for example:

-In 1996, the bald eagle was removed from the endangered species list, reflecting its recovery since the 1972 DDT ban.

-In 1972, only 36 percent of the nation's assessed stream miles were safe for uses such as fishing and swimming: today, about 60 percent are safe for such uses.

-To date, more than 18 million homes have been tested for radon. Approximately 575 lives are saved annually due to radon mitigation and radon-resistant new construction.

-The number of chemicals listed in EPA’s Toxic Release Inventory nearly doubled, from 328 in 1990 to 644 in 1999.

-Today, the vast majority of American households have safe drinking water, and receive annual reports on the quality of their drinking water.

No More Nato!

Natalie is moving out of our crappy, college apartment today! Since she finally sold her contract, she is all set to move to bigger and better things in New York now! We do everything together, so even though she'll be in Utah for another 2 months this is a very sad new development! Now I'm stuck with Pei-Pei, until the summer ends and I get to move into my new nice apartment with Jen. Even more distressing is that there aren't any good pictures of the two of us together, so my camera is going to get quite the workout before she leaves!

Very sad day.

No Love!

This is what I get for working at a construction company! Nobody sympathized with my revulsion to having a drug test. Don't anybody worry, it's just Mountain Dew. Kent and Christie thought they were very clever pulling this little stunt! It probably was, I flipped out when I thought it was real!

PS. Kent you really need to shave.

4.18.08

The other day I bought Juno from Melissa, because she didn't like it! Crazy! It's pretty much a guarantee that if Melissa likes something then I won't, and if I like anything Melissa will hate it. Must be a sisters thing, it comes in handy when we want to trade movies. Although I usually like most, maybe I just have a penchant for anything and everything cinematic, and Melissa anything bad! J slash K! Juno is comedy gold, and although I still love you, although, you could use some better movie judgement!

The Pennsylvania Primary is next week. It is pivotal for the democratic nomination, if Hilary doesn't pick up this state she's most likely out of the running for the 2008 campaign. I'm sure there are a few people who will be disappointed. I'm just not one of them!

Rice Pudding

After attending a freezing cold softball game to cheer on some friends we decided we needed something warm so we went and got some steaming hot pizza. After we were done I decided that we needed some rice pudding to follow!

If you haven't been to Pudding on the Rice, go now. So delicious! We had the Raspberry, Coconut, and English Toffee. Of course they all have way cooler names than that, but I can't remember them! Jen, Cameron, Natalie and I plowed through the raspberry and toffee. Since I barely let anyone touch the coconut I still have some waiting in the fridge when I get home. Other cool flavors to try include but are not limited to: Lemon Poppy seed (you might not want to try this one if your company requires random drug screenings, like mine does), Marshmallow, and Cheesecake.

Happy 200th Post!

Man do I need a life! This is my 200Th post on my blog, I never thought I would last, and am completely surprised that I did! Oddly enough I have absolutely nothing to blog about!

Something came up! A few days ago Christie told me that I had been randomly selected for a drug test! I maybe, kind of, sort of thought she was joking so I completely forgot about it. So when she asked me if I had done it yet I was unhappy and needless to say, dismayed. Everybody knew I was not happy about it. My mom told me I probably protested too much, and now I surely looked guilty.

I couldn't help it, so disgusting and degrading. Peeing in a cup (Tim called it a whiz quiz, blah!) is definitely not going to make it into the top ten best moments! It was even worse than I had suspected. I got there and had to announce to a whole room full of people that I was there for a drug test. ME! No privacy at all, haven't these people heard of HIPPA laws? So then I had to wait for an hour wishing I hadn't used the facilities earlier that morning, and hoping it wasn't the kind where they come into the bathroom with you, and praying for a female to administer the test. I was trying my upmost to look as though I absolutely did not belong there.

Fortunately, the first thing didn't turn out to be a problem, and I did have a girl who did not accompany me to the restroom (which were completely filthy). Thank goodness! It was pretty disgusting and didn't help that I was mercilessly mocked by my coworkers when I returned to the office!

Maybe?

Urban Outfitters is so great! I think I'm going to buy this couch for my new apartment! I really love it, and I need somewhere to read. Found it here.
